Maureen Thie

Maureen was born and raised in south-east Queensland. She studied early childhood education before heading over to the UK for a 3-year nannying stint, from there she moved into a Service Coordinator role for a serviced office provider in central London, helping to form a foundation in administration and support. Seeking more of a challenge, she changed jobs into a Business Support Administrator role which saw her progress to the company’s Office Manager.
17 years and a pandemic later, Maureen emigrated back to Australia with an unexpected passion in environmental and natural conservation efforts.
She loves spending time with family, cooking, boardgames/trivia and birdwatching.
Maureen is ecstatic to join the ANZCVS team after so long abroad and is keen on applying her experience and skills to her new role.

Mary Anne Hiscutt

Mary Anne grew up in rural Tasmania and attended Sydney University, graduating in 1986. After four years working in mixed practice on the central coast of NSW she and her husband travelled to the UK with a back pack each, returning six years later with three children and half a container of belongings. Settling in Brisbane, Mary Anne combined part time work in small animal practice with raising children but stopped work when numbers five and six arrived.
After a period away from practice Mary Anne is keen to reconnect with her profession in a completely different capacity and regards her role within the College as a learning experience and welcome challenge.
Mary Anne has a varied menagerie as well as six children and a husband!
